OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2010. In the first ten days of the new year IES-Holding power plants produced 2.5 billion kWh of electric energy and 6,26 million GCal of heat compared to 2009, the growth was 3,8% and 6,4% respectively.  

Form December 31 to January 10 all the generating companies of IES-Holding ensured trouble-free operation of the equipment and had no serious emergencies. To ensure reliable supply of power and to respond to increasing load on the first work day all the generating companies operated in a special mode throughout the holidays. 

Following the order of Mikhail Slobodin, President of IES-Holding, additional measures were taken to control operation of the equipment and repair works, ensure fire safety and anti-terrorist protection. In all IES-Holding divisions at all levels of management and production assistants were appointed to monitor the situation and report to the duty operator of the Holding.

On Monday, January, 11 - by the morning peak load - all IES-Holding power plants switched their generating equipment to the mode scheduled. At the end of holidays, all the stations were switched to the normal mode of operation.
