OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2010. State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and the Yamalo-Nenetsk Autonomous Area Administration signed an Agreement on Cooperation.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Agreement was signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and on behalf of Yamalo-Nenetsk Autonomous Area – by Governor Yury Neelov.

This Agreement aims to establish strategic partnership and promote long-term effective cooperation between the parties in the investment activity.

Under the Agreement the parties intend to cooperate in raising funds to finance investment projects including those implemented on the principles of public private partnership.

The parties give top priority to projects aimed at enhancing energy and transport infrastructure, infrastructure, housing and communal services and at increasing natural resources efficient utilization. A list of investment projects is to be made on the basis of the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of Yamalo-Nenetsk Autonomous Area for a period of up to 2020 and also main lines of Vnesheconombank’s investment activity.

The implementation of this Agreement would help to encourage investment activity aimed at strengthening the industrial potential of Yamalo-Nenetsk Autonomous Area, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and removing economic growth infrastructure restrictions.
