OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2010. Ingosstrakh insured the risk of cancelling the concert of the legendary rock band Depeche Mode, which took place on February 6, 2010 at the Olimpiysky Sports Complex in Moscow, and the liability of the concert organizers to the visitors for the total insured amount of USD 10 mln.

Under the insurance contract against the concert cancellation risk, the organizer was insured against any losses it might incur if the event is cancelled for reasons beyond his reasonable control: unavailability of the concert arena due to its damage (e.g. caused by fire), illness of the lead singers of the group or an accident which prevents them from performing, a terrorist act or national mourning etc. In this case, Ingosstrakh will refund the costs for the rent of the concert hall, advertizing, printing and sale of tickets etc.

The contract of insurance of the concert organizers' liability provided for an indemnity payable to third parties, including the spectators, in case of any damage to their life, health or property.

Ingosstrakh has great experience in such type of insurance: the company has insured the concerts of world stars such as Elton John, Britney Spears, Simply Red, Scorpions and others.

Depeche Mode is an iconic British musical team of the "new wave", established in 1980. This band, which, over the period of its existence, has created its own one-of-a-kind style in the genres of electronic and rock music, is now one of the most successful and long-lived bands in the world.
