OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2010. TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, is reducing the prices of calls to the networks of other Lithuanian fixed-line operators for residential customers by more than three times. The reduction in interconnection rates this year enabled the Company to offer more favourable conditions for its customers to make calls not only to mobile operator networks, but also to the networks of other Lithuanian fixed-line operators.

From 9 February 2010, the payment plan Draugai (Friends) will allow, for the monthly fee of LTL 8, to make 90 free-of-charge minutes of telephone calls to other Lithuanian fixed-line networks at no extra charge. Once the free minutes provided by the payment plans are used up, the standard call rates will apply: LTL 0.26 per minute all days of the week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and LTL 0.09 per minute all days of the week from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Moreover, residential customers of TEO can take advantage of the conditions of the campaign, which will take place between 9th February to 31th July 2010, and order the plan Draugai (Friends) with a 70 per cent discount on the monthly fee for this plan and a 100 per cent discount on the activation fee. The discount on the monthly fee will be valid during the whole period of using the payment plan.

From February 2010, the tariffs of another payment plan, Calls to other fixed-line telephone networks, will also be reduced by up to 30 per cent. This plan is available for use both to residential and business customers. Having ordered the plan Calls to other fixed-line telephone networks, calls to all other fixed-line telephone networks on workdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. will cost LTL 0.17 per minute, whereas on workdays from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. and around the clock on weekends and public holidays – LTL 0.06 per  minute. The call set-up fee – LTL 0.14, the plan’s monthly fee for each telephone number of a customer – LTL 2.36.

According to Nerijus Ivanauskas, Chief Marketing Officer of TEO, from now on, TEO customers, both those who make calls within TEO network as well as those who make calls to other fixed-line networks in Lithuania, will have very similar conditions in terms of price. For users, who order the new plan Draugai (Friends) under the campaign’s conditions, the average price per minute of a call to a subscriber of another fixed-line network will be very close to the price paid by TEO customers for a domestic long-distance call within TEO network, using the payment plans Neribotas (Unlimited) or Shalyje (In the Country).

“At present, a relatively small number of our residential and business customers make calls to other fixed-line networks. However, we observe the trend that this need of our customers continues to grow. Currently, TEO customers can make calls to the networks of ten other Lithuanian fixed-line operators”, - N. Ivanauskas says. - We are pleased to improve conditions for our customers to communicate throughout the country."
