OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2010. Anti-crisis measures, undertaken by the leadership of Kazakhstan, provided additional growth of the republic’s economy in 2009, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov said.

 “According to our estimates, the effect of anti-crisis measures provides an additional economic growth rate of 3%,” Bakhyt Sultanov said at a government meeting in Astana.

He reminded we have achieved positive results in the industry in 2009. “So the volume of production in this sector increased by 1.7%, in manufacturing declined in 4.5% with a projected decline of 8.3%,” he said.

As previously the Kazakh government reported, the GDP growth in the country amounted to 1.1% in 2009.
