OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2010. Belarus’ international reserves, based on the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) methodology, went down 6.7% in January 2010 to USD 5.273 billion as of February 1, 2010, according the National Statistics Committee.

As of February 1, foreign currency reserves amounted to USD 2.602 billion, up 3.2% in January, the amount of monetary gold reached the equivalent of USD 802.6 million, down 2.3%, and other assets were at USD 1.296 million, down 25.2%.

Special drawing rights were at USD 573.4 million as of February 1, down 0.9% from January 1, 2010. Belarus’ IMF reserve position is at USD 0 million, showing no change

In 2009, Belarus’ reserves went up by USD 2.591 billion, or 84.7%.
