OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2010. Belarus’ internal debt decreased 22% on the month in December to 7.887 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of January 1, 2010, an official with Belarus’ Finance Ministry told.

Internal debt shrank 16.6% in January-December in real terms (adjusted for inflation).

Internal debt decreased by 698 billion rubles in January-December 2009, or 0.5% of GDP, the official said.

Of the total internal state debt, the long-term debt of the government accounts for 31.4%, short-term debt for 0% and the debt secured by the government for 68.6%.
