OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2010. According to data from the Transport Clearing House, UTair Aviation has emerged as the market leader in the domestic passenger flight segment since November 2009 .

In 2009 the UTair fleet, including helicopters, transported 3.9 million people, 9.9% more than in 2008. In 2010 the airline has continued to demonstrate passenger traffic growth. According to preliminary data, in January UTair served 306,539 passengers, which is 81% more than in January 2009.

UTair’s passenger traffic growth is based on its extensive route network, the unique capabilities of the airline main hub in Vnukovo Airport in Moscow and its modern fleet of long haul and regional aircraft. Furthermore, UTair’s flexible fare policy and high quality airport and onboard service support this growth. In addition, UTair’s STATUS frequent flyer program is one of the most advantageous in the industry. Competent and well coordinated teamwork in all of the airline’s operations involving in passenger services have helped achieve superior operational results.

According to UTair business projections, the booked flight hours for the airlines planes and helicopters in 2010 will reach nearly 300,000 hours. More than 100 planes and 200 helicopters of various types and classes will be involved in the program. In 2010 the airline forecasts transporting more than 4.8 million passengers, exceeding 2009 results by 34%. UTair helicopter provides operations domestically and in eleven other countries and expects the export of its helicopter services is to grow 3.8%.
