OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2010. UTair Aviation continues to demonstrate growth in operational results. In January 2010 alone UTair transported 306,829 passengers, 81.5% more than for the same period in 2009.

During the reporting period significant growth in other operational indicators was also marked. UTair’s passenger turnover achieved by UTair in January increased 101.2% over the same period last year. Seat load ratio in January amounted to 69.8%, 4.5 points higher than in 2009. UTair aircraft in January transported 757.6 tons of cargo, 60.6% more than in 2009. The volume of mail transported came to 231.8 tons, 168% higher than in January 2009.

The airline's planes had logged 12,988 flight hours, 55.8% higher than last year. UTair helicopters logged 4,420 flight hours, 7.6% higher than the same period in 2009. In January 2010 UTair helicopters transported 28,,685 passengers, 46% more than in January of last year and 1,612.2 tons of cargo, 8.3% more than the figure of January 2009.

According to the UTair business plan for 2010, the airline’s planes and helicopters will spend approximately 300 thousand hours in the air. More than 100 aircraft and more than 200 helicopters of various types and classes will be involved in the realization of operations. In 2010 the airline forecasts transporting more than 4.8 million passengers, 34% higher than expected in 2009. UTair operates helicopter services in Russia and eleven foreign countries.
