OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2010. ROSNO’s Udmurtian branch has concluded a property insurance contract with OJSC Vostochny, a meat producer ranking third in Russia by product volumes. The insurance amount is 129.38 million roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

ROSNO’s insurance coverage has been provided for the pig livestock (32,951 animals) of such breeds as "Big White", "Landras", "Duroque", and "Yorkshire" bred in 10 agricultural complexes and breeding farms owned by the producer. The livestock has been insured against the following risks: loss (murrain), forced extermination of insured livestock as a result of diseases; fire; explosion, natural disasters; accidents; unlawful/malicious third-party acts; and stealage (theft, robbery and brigandage), forced slaughter upon order of a veterinary service officer as part of the measures taken to combat epizootic, incurable disease excluding the possibility for further use of animals, and accident threatening inevitable loss of livestock.

The aggregate contractual insurance amount is 129,385,024 roubles.

The contract has been concluded for 35 months.

This is not the first time that OJSC Vostochny insures its property with ROSNO: in March of the last year, the producer entrusted the insurer with insurance protection of 25 pigpens for the total amount exceeding 300 million roubles.
