OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2010. On 15 February 2010, Kernel Group announced that it had purchased an option to buy an additional 37.6% interest stake in Allseeds Group. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Previously, Kernel announced the offer price for the deal at USD 28mn, while yesterday it increased the total value estimate of Allseeds Group by 3.6% to USD 230mn. Along with the option for 56% in Allseeds Group purchased by Kernel in January 2010, the way is clear now for Kernel to acquire a 93.6% stake in Allseeds Group.

Millennium Capital sees the news to be strongly positive for Kernel, since the purchase of Allseeds group will enable Kernel to expand its seed crushing and storage capacities by around 60% and 35%, respectively. This will more than double (up to to 35%) the Kernel share on the sunflower oil export market.
