OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2010. In line with its development strategy, ASTARTA plans to invest about USD10 million in purchasing of modern agricultural machinery and equipment from leading EU and US producers, such as Amity Technology, CASE, Wil-Rich, Fendt, Claas, Manitou etc.

International producers will supply more than 90 units of new agricultural machinery to ASTARTA. Particularly, seeders and cultivators, tractors, auto-loaders, and other equipment for fertilizer application. Such program is financed by long-term loans.

The program for the agricultural machinery fleet expansion was implemented due to an increase of sowing areas and ASTARTA's plans for further development. Noteworthy that new agricultural machinery will be involved in the sowing campaign of the current season. Moreover, ASTARTA plans to purchase above 100 units of agricultural machinery from Ukrainian and Russian producers during 2010.

The use of agricultural machinery at the regional subsidiaries will help to increase the production efficiency, cut losses, optimize the logistics, and improve customer service.
