According to NBM, as of January 29, 2010, NBM currency reserves totaled US 1 billion 464.36 million, as of December 31, 2009 - USD 1 billion 480,3 million.

As it was reported before, in 2009 NBM currency reserves decreased by USD 192.16 million (11.5%), amounting as of December 31 to about US 1 billion 480,3 million.

In 2008, Moldova's currency reserves increased by USD 338.72 million (25.4%), reaching at the beginning of 2008 approximately USD 1 billion 333.68 million. The absolute historical maximum of USD 1.8 billion was reached at the end of September 2008, but then reserves began to decrease due to the global financial crisis.
