OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2010. In January 2010 JSC Freight One’s haulage operations increased 1.7-fold against the same period last year to 21.1m tonnes.

This figure for the first month of the New Year can be broken down as follows: 7.3m tonnes of coal (+60.9%); 6.2m tonnes of oil products (+32.0%); 2.0m tonnes of ore (+150.0%); 1.4m tonnes of ferrous metals (+180.0%); 0.6m tonnes of timber (+67.4%); 0.6m tonnes of construction materials (+20.0%); 0.5m tonnes of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+154.6%); 0.4m tonnes of cement (+11.9%).

Against December last year there was a slight drop in haulage operations of 3.8%. Given the long New Year vacation, the drop was forecast and less than expected.

In January 2010 JSC Freight One’s share of haulage operations on the Russian rail network was 22.0% (+6.5% against the same period last year and +2.7% against December).
