OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2010. Ukraine increased oil imports in January 2010 up to 723.145 tons, a 4.9 percent growth from January 2009.
Average price a ton of oil has increased by 79.6%, at USD 522.2. In monetary terms, oil supplies to Ukraine increased by 88.4%, to USD 377.593 million

During this period, imports of heavy fuel oil fell by 62.6%, to 23.371 tons. The HFO price increased as much as 2.9 times, at USD 573.4 a ton. In monetary terms, the import was up 9.9%, at USD 13.402 million. The country exported 234.428 tones of HFO, a 109.1 percent surge from the same period last year. This January has brought a 5.2 times growth in revenue, up to USD 106.965 million thanks to an increase in the average price by 148.4%, at USD 456.3 per tone.
