OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2010. Belarus’ beer output decreased 8.4% on the year in January 2010 to 2.264 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

OAO Krinitsa, based in Minsk, cut beer production 17.7% to 891,000 decaliters.

OAO Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 398,000 decaliters of beer in January, a decrease of 12.9% on the year.

Syabar brewery, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 433,000 decaliters of beer in the period, down 8.9% on the year.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, decreased beer output 23.7% to 319,000 decaliters.

OAO Brest Beer produced 319,000 decaliters of beer, down 23.7%.

OAO Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 47,000 decaliters of beer in the period, down 50%.

Beer offering in plastic bottles went down 3.8% to 1.874 million decaliters, in glass bottles fell 28.7% to 293,000 decaliters, in kegs decreased 4.2% to 78,000 decaliters and in cans fell 42.8% to 18,000 decaliters.

Belarusian beer sales decreased 20.4% on the year in January to 1.787million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went down 38.1% to 604,000 decaliters, Olivaria sales went down 3.7% to 358,000 decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales decreased 14.5% to 281 decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer fell 24.1%, of Syabar increased 25.4% and of Rechitspivo dropped 49.1%.
