OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2010. In accordance with Russia's Federal Tariff Service's Order № 283-s/10 of 11 November 2009 UTK changes its local telecommunications tariffs for individual and corporate customers from February 1, 2010. Telecommunications tariffs will be increased all over the territory of the Russian Federation. Average weighted tariff growth for fixed-line telecom services provided by the companies of Svyazinvest group will be about 10%.

Local tariffs of "UTK" PJSC including payment for provision of a permanent subscriber line will be increased by 9.4% for individual subscribers and by 9.8% for legal entities.

At the same time the subscription fee for providing access to UTK’s local telephone network for individuals and legal entities is to be considerably reduced - by 22.8% on average. In addition "UTK" PJSC decreases its intra-zone telephone connections tariffs from 3.85 rubles to 3.60 rubles for all categories of subscribers in the tariff zone from 101 to 600 km in Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories.

Local tariffs will be increased in order to make them economically sound. UTK’s local tariffs have not been changed since March 1, 2009. And the annual rate of inflation is estimated at 13%. Telecommunications tariffs growth is also caused by a 25-30%-increase in electricity rates.
