OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2010. Mr.Askar Zhumagaliyev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC and Mr.Dmitry Tsymbal, Director General of Kazenergokabel JSC signed the Memorandum, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

The purpose of the memorandum is development of relations with local manufacturers of goods, produced in Kazakhstan. Memorandum assumes assistance by Kazakhtelecom JSC to manufacturer in mastering new import substituting goods, required for needs of telecoms operator. In its turn manufacturer assumes and performs supply of qualitative goods that correspond to specifications, produced by a buyer

Memorandum on mutual cooperation with Kazenergokabel JSC concluded on 18 February 2009, the leading Kazakhstan telecoms operator signed 15 contracts for over 862 million tenge.

Total contracts for 1 504 million tenge has been concluded with enterprises of Pavlodar oblast in 2009.

It shall be noted that in 2009 the group of companies of Kazakhtelecom JSC signed memorandums on mutual cooperation with 57 local suppliers from different regions of the republic. 760 contracts have been signed for its realization. Within this cooperation local enterprises master some import substituting goods: cable – conducting product, power supplying installations etc.
 
By preliminary estimation in 2009 the volume of purchase by group of companies of Kazakhtelecom JSC exceeded 66,2 milliards tenge, share of Kazakhstan content composed 54,1% (in 2008 share of Kazakhstan content– 42,3%). 
 
In December 2009 within the action “Goszakaz-2010”, held in Almaty, Kazakhtelecom JSC presented the Program on increasing Kazakhstan content in purchase of goods, works and services.

The forecasted Plan of purchases in Kazakhtelecom JSC for 2010 covers all main strategic directions of Investment Company’s policy, directed to presenting new advanced technologies and upgrading of existing telecommunication networks on Kazakhstan market.

Pursuant to the Program of increase of Kazakhstan content in purchases of goods, works and services of Kazakhtelecom JSC for 2010, Kazakhstan content in purchases is planned within 54,5%.
