OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2010. This January gas charge level almost halved against December 2009.

A government source says that in January gas charge from the population made up only 43.6% of supplied gas cost versus 80.8% in December and 154.9% in October (record index for 2009).

Since July 2009 residential users have been paying for gas at new price - AZN 100 per 1,000 cu m.

For the past year gas charge level rose up to 73.7%.

This January the highest charge was registered in Imishli (85.9%), Gedabey (80.4%) and Saatli (78.1%) regions. As a whole, charge in Baku (most part of consumers) reached 41.7%.

Last December the highest charge was registered in city Mingachevir (119.7%), regions Oguz (119%) and Dashkesan (113.5%) regions. As a whole, charge in Baku (most part of consumers) reached 81.4%.

In 2009, the best charge was registered in the Khatayi district of Baku (130%), Siyazan (129%), and Yardimli (101%). Last year charge made up 73.7% in Baku.
