OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 February, Vladimir Yakunin will take part in the 72nd session of the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. The 72nd session of the committee will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva from 23 to 25 February. Vladimir Yakunin will deliver a report on "The work of RZD in developing Eurasian transport links", reported the press-centre RZD.

The RZD president will describe the growing role of Russia’s railway on the global - primarily Eurasian - market of transport services, as well as the strengthening of RZD’s competitive positions relative to alternative forms of transport and foreign shipping companies, and also company’s plans aimed at fulfilling the Russian rail network’s transit potential to the greatest possible extent. After his speech, Vladimir Yakunin will visit the "Russia through a train window" exhibition, which will open at the start of the session.
