OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2010. The stations on the blue line of the Moscow Metro, most of which are the overground ones, will undergo reconstruction.

“It is a shabby railway line. We plan to have its stations reconstructed. The project feasibility study is currently being worked out but we are likely to start the reconstruction not earlier 2012,” Dmitry Gaev, head of the Moscow Metro, said on February 18.

According to the official, some stations will be equipped with moving sidewalks and lifts.

At the same time the head of the Moscow Metro reminded that some of the stations had been designed according to the obsolete standards and it was only possible to renew their rises.
