OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2010. SOCAR has reported of opening of another 3 stations in Georgia and thereby bringing their total quantity up to 32 stations there.

SEG is planning to launch 20 more stations in Georgia until the end of 2010.

Earlier Mair Mammadov, the SEG’s president, says that before late 2010 they were going to increase their network up to 60 petrol stations in Georgia.

“Such number of petrol stations will allow us to control at least 17-18% of retail market of petroleum products in Georgia,” Mammadov said then.

SEG then expected to raise its network up to 33-35 filling stations by the end of 2009, and as a whole met this challenge.

At the same time, SOCAR is the most dynamically developing network of petrol stations in Georgia.

SOCAR has a 51% stake in SEG LLC and the rest belongs to Georgian partners.
