OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2010. Belarus’ OAO Krinitsa, the largest brewery of the country, produced 891,000 decaliters of beer in January 2010, up 17.7% from the January 2009 level, a representative in food concern Belgospischeprom told.

The Minsk-based facility increased beer production 17% to 872,000 decaliters.

Beer output in plastic bottles went down 12.6% on the year to 773,900 decaliters.

Krinitsa beer output in glass bottles fell 52.1% to 62,500 decaliters, in kegs went up 3.7% to 37,000 decaliters and in cans rose 42.8% to 17,700 decaliters.

Krinitsa’s share in overall beer output in Belarus fell in January 2010 by 4.4 percentage points to 39.4%.

Krinitsa was founded in January 2001. OAO Polotsk Beer and Nesvizh soft drinks plant have been incorporated by OAO Krinitsa and operate as subsidiaries.
