OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2010. Belarus’ consumer prices went up 0.8% on the month in January 2010, compared with a rise by 1.3% in December, an official in the National Statistics Committee told.

Food prices rose 0.6% in January 2010, up 6.5% on January 2009, non-food prices went up 1.4% (7.6%), and consumer services prices increased 0.2% (5.3%).

In 2009, inflation accelerated 10.1%.

The government hopes to settle within 9%-10% this year.
