OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2010. This service used by passengers at all advanced airports in the world is so far unique for Ural: self-service check-in kiosks. Any Ural Airlines passenger, whether he or she is taking a charter, scheduled or transit flight, can check in at such a kiosk.

The passenger only has to have an e-ticket. Before now, only a couple of nationwide airlines have had such kiosks, and only in the largest airports of Russia, for example Moscow Domodedovo. This new facility is another argument in favor of Yekaterinburg Airport's international status. Self-service saves you what counts most - time.

For instance, passengers flying to Moscow for one day without baggage do not have to queue for check-in desks. Besides, self-service check-in opens 23 hours before the departure. If a passenger's friend comes to the airport earlier, they can check in the passenger in his/her absence. What is also pleasant is that the passenger can choose the seat in the plane.

Passengers with baggage may check in at the kiosks too, but they have to give in their bags at the check-in desk. Three self-service kiosks are located in the Yekaterinburg Koltsovo Airport's Domestic Terminal, and one, in the International Departures.
