OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2010. The bank’s efforts to evolve its activities in the UK market have been crowned with the permission to provide financial services within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, without establishing the bank’s branch therein, reported the press-centre of Baltic International Bank.

In November 2009, the bank was recorded on the FSA Register as an EEA authorised payment institution.

„Undoubtedly, the recognition and appreciation of the company’s activities in cross-border markets and ability to professionally carry on business in compliance with the UK laws are aspects of vital importance. Certainly, it is a package deal -- with new opportunities for developing business comes a greater responsibility,” says Ilona Gulchak, the Chairperson of the Board. „We succeeded in taking one more step towards advancing our presence in the UK and Western countries overall,” she added.

London-based representative office of the bank commenced operations in October 2005. Since then, it has built a stable and long-term partnership with businessmen from various sectors of the economy.
