OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2010. Two more Russian ISPs deployed Dr.Web AV-Desk in February. SiAl has become the sixteenth ISP in St. Petersburg that offers the Dr.Web anti-virus service to its subscribers. And Volga-Online is the fifth company that has deployed Dr.Web Av-Desk in the Samara region.

The web encompassing Russian ISPs that use AV-Desk has expanded with two new joiners. Volga-Online, operating in the Samara region since 2003, traditionally offers to its customers a high-speed Internet service and SiAl, the company located St. Petersburg, mainly targets residents of student quarters area where over 7 thousand youths attending different universities and institutes of the city live.

Today none of these companies can boast a large client base. However, a wide range of highly demanded services offered by the providers ensures a steady inflow of new customers. The Dr.Web anti-virus service has been added on their lists recently.

Four subscription packages allow customers to choose a desired level of security. A user also can suspend his subscription if he is away.

“SiAl gladly joins ranks of providers offering the Dr.Web anti-virus service to their customers. We are ready to offer our customers broadband and virus-free Internet”, Ulyana Potapova, the general manager of SiAl said.

The general director of Volga-Online Alexei Sazonov believes that deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk in the company’s network brings up security of subscribers’ computers to an entirely new level. “With the flexible subscription policy and integration of the anti-virus server with our billing system users receive anti-virus protection on the best terms ever”, he added.
