OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2010. The Belarusian government has increased alcohol production quotas for 2010, under resolution #207 of the Council of Ministers dated February 17, 2010.

The production quota on vodka and other hard drinks has been increased 3.1% from the original quota for 2010 to 16.475 million decaliters, quota on fruit fortified wines 1% to 11.552 million decaliters, and improved quality fruit fortified wines 12.1% to 9.287 million decaliters.

Sparkling wine production quotas has been increased 6.7% to 1.6 million decaliters, grape wine 28.8% to 3.35 million decaliters, cognac 3.3% to 315,000 decaliters and whiskey quota has been doubled to 50,000 decaliters.
