OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2010. When preparing for the flight the special attention is given to the preparation of a special flight catering, taking account of passengers' religious requirements and the most strict diet.

In connection with the beginning of the Great Fast the Ural Airlines' food technologists have developed a special "Lenten menu". The amount of people keeping the fast increase from year to year, therefore the Lenten food becomes more popular. It is also in demand among those passengers who look after their health. The range of the Ural Airlines' Lenten food includes only vegetarian meals, exclusive of such products like milk, eggs and animal source food. The main products in such food rations are fruits, juices and nuts, fresh and stewed vegetables. The Lenten meal service order will be applicable by the Airline up to the last day of the Great Fast. Thereafter these meals will be replaced by the vegetarian meals.

In addition, the Airline has improved the composition of the menu offered to the business class passengers. Now for the children traveling in business class the parents can order a special "Baby menu". The meals are composed taking account of tastes and needs of the young passengers. The baby meals in business class on board the aircraft include easy chewable food, the products are easily identified; different fruit and cheese desserts, nut mixes, crackers, juice, meat and fish dishes, as well as diary foods are offered. All the meals contain the necessary vitamins, minerals and other nutrients required for the young growing organism.

Meal ordering from " Baby menu" in the business class and from "Lenten menu" is available only on the flights operated from Koltsovo Airport (Yekaterinburg). It is required to order the special menu not later than 24 hours before departure. The Airline's staff will compose a menu for each passenger taking account of his/her wishes.
