OREANDA-NEWS. March 10, 2010. It was discussed at the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar with the president of the board of directors of the AmCham Moldova John Maxemchuk. Valeriu Lazar noted the Ministry of Economy’s full openness for the further cooperation with the AmCham Moldova by means of different kinds of cooperation to improve the process of foreign investments attraction to Moldova.

John Maxemchuk said AmCham Moldova was interested in attraction of as many investments in Moldova as possible especially of the large ones needed by the Moldovan market. The parties marked some fields for successful investments – the IT sector, free economic zones and industrial parks development.

These areas will be presented as major ones at the events organized by Moldova for foreign investors such as the Vienna Economic Forum to take place in Chisinau this year. AmCham the nongovernmental business association established in 2006 by a group of businessmen from the USA and Moldova. Its major objectives are to improve the business and investment climate in Moldova and to promote local and foreign businesses.
