OREANDA-NEWS. March 10, 2010. In 2009, JSC "KazTransOil" increased the volume of oil transportation for 7,2%.

Such data was announced at the extended meeting of JSC "KazTransOil" that took place under the chairmanship of the General Director, Sultan Nurbol Sarybayuly. Top managers of the Company, directors of branches, their deputies on the issues of economics and heads of oil pipelines departments, heads of representations, subsidiary and jointly controlled companies, directors of departments and heads of services of the central office of the Company participated at the meeting.

In the framework of the meeting results of production and financial operation of JSC "KazTransOil" for 2009 were reviewed.

According to factual data, the volume of transportation of oil through the system of main pipelines of JSC "KazTransOil" for 12 months of 2009 equaled to 50 mln. 885 thou. tons. In comparision with the level of 2008, the volume of oil transportation grew for 3 mln. 417 thou. tons (factual for 12 months of 2008 was 47 mln. 467 thou. tons). The oil cargo turnover reached the level of 33 bln. 513 mln. tons km and grew in comparison with the indicator for 2008, 1 bln. 247 mln. tons km.

Such record annual level of main production indicators throughout the history of the of the Company was reached thanks to, first of all, increase of volumes of production and submission of oil by producers of hydrocarbon material into the system of oil pipelines of the Company, secondly, thank to organizational work of JSC "KazTransOil", which was aimed at improving efficiency of operation of pipeline network. In particular, thanks to use of anti turbulent additives on Kazakhstan and Russian sections of "Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline, JSC "KazTransOil" managed to implement its commitments fixed at the February Protocol of the last year on the issue of oil transit at the level of heads of JSC "KazTransOil" and JSC "Transneft" in Moscow on ensuring transportation of Kazakhstan oil in 2009 through the "Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline at the volume of not less than 17.5 mln. tons. According to the results of 2009, the volume of oil transportation through the "Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline equaled 17 mln. 504 thou. tons (factual for 2008 was 16 mln. 770 thou. tons).

According to the results of 12 months of 2009, the volume of oil transfer to the "Atasu-Alashankou" oil pipeline equaled to 7 mln. 699 thou. tons of oil. In comparison with the same period of 2008, this indicator increased for 1 mln. 586 thou. tons or 26% (factual for 12 months of 2008 was 6 mln. 113 thou.tons). Such significant increase of transit capacity of "Atasu-Alashankou" oil pipeline was managed to achieve thanks to launch in the second half of 2009 of the interim oil pumping station No.9. The increase of the volume of transit Russian oil at the "Omsk-Pavlodar-Atasu-Alashnkou" route also influenced the growth of the volume of oil transportation, namely 1 mln. 499 thou.tons for 12 months of 2009 (factual for 2008 was 1 mln. 37 thou.tons).

Transit of the Russian oil through the section of "TON-2" oil pipeline, located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, upon results of 12 months of 2009 made 5 mln. 358 thou. tons, which is 372 thou.tons higher than the indicator of the same period of 2008 (factual for 12 months of 2008 comprised 4 mln. 986 thou. tons of oil).

In the past period significant increase (9 mln. 274 thou. tons) of oil loading to tankers at GOPS Aktau for further transportation through the Caspian Sea was noticed. The given indicator exceeds the result of 12 months of 2008 for 1 mln. 695 thou. tons, or 22%. Such high indicators were achieved thanks to organizational activities held by JSC "KazTransOil" on improvement of the process on unloading of oil from railway cisterns.

JSC "KazTransOil" carries out delivery of Volga water to consumers of Atyrau and Mangistau oblasts of Kazakhstan through Astrahan-Mangyshlak waterline. During 12 months of 2009, the volume of water supply made 18 mln. 926 thou. cubic meters (factual figure for 12 months of 2008 was 19 thou. 501 cubic meters).

According to factual data implementation of the program of Capital investments of the Company for 2009 made 100% or about 22 229 mln. tenge. One of the most capital-intensive objects is construction of GOPS "Kumkol", dismantlement and installation of reservoir for 20 000 cubic meters on OPS Atyrau, and others.

According to factual data, incomes from core operation of the Company for 2009 made 107 100 072 thou. tenge, which is 6% (or 5 971 299 thou. tenge) higher than the same indicator in 2008. Increase of the Company incomes of is conditioned by increase of volumes of oil transportation.

As a whole JSC "KazTransOil" is assessed as stably developing enterprise whose activities comply with contemporary tendencies in the field of oil transportation.
