OREANDA-NEWS. The exposition areas of Uzexpocenter national exhibition complex will be reconstructed and expanded for the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to be held in the Uzbek capital on 1-4 May.

Around 3,000 delegates - including government leaders, central bank governors and finance ministers as well as representatives from academia, the media and civil society groups - are expected to attend the ADB's 43rd Annual Meeting on 1-4 May. The 2010 gathering marks the first time the ADB has held its Annual Meeting in Central Asia.

The measures on capital reconstruction and building of new objects of Uzexpocenter have been approved in line with the presidential and governmental resolutions this year. A budget loan worth 7 billion soums has been allocated for these purposed for 7 years, including a 4-year gross period, with 7% APR.

The Tashkent City Administration has been entrusted with allotment of place and organization of public transport stop near the main entrance to Uzexpocenter from the 5th passage of Sandikurgan street, meeting the architectural appearance of the new building of the International Business Center.

Uzexpocentre open joint-stock national exhibition company of the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan is known to many countries throughout the world.

Exhibition halls with area of 1000 up to 3000 sq m and modern exhibition equipment as well can accommodate any kind of exhibitions in pavilions of Uzexpocentre. Pavilion No 1 meets the international standards of holding great exhibitions – fairs after reconstruction being finished in 2003. Total area of pavilion is 7042 sq m.

Capital Uzexpocentre changes according to time and become more attractive and multifunctional. The newly constructed pavilion N 2 was put into operation in August of 2007. It is connected with the present Central exhibition pavilion. The square of newly constructed pavilion is amounted to 3,052 sq m. The total exposition space of Uzexpocentre after putting into operation Pavilion N 2 is amounted to 11,944 sq m.
