OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2010. Payment services in Nordea Bank Lithuania are provided according to new Law on Payments, which adopts of the European Parliament and of the Council on payment services in the internal market Directive to national law in Lithuanian Republic. The new law implements better quality of payment services, strengthens consumer rights protection, reported the press-centre of Nordea Bank.

We would like to remind, that new Nordea Bank Lithuania General service rules and amendments in price lists for both private and corporate customers come into effect. Please take a note of some main changes:

- For payments within EEA in euros or EEA member states national currencies and without conversion payer’s bank fees are paid by payer and other bank’s fees are paid by beneficiary (BEN or OUR fees types are not allowed).

- For payments within EEA in euros or EEA member states national currencies correspondent banks may not debit fees from payment amount, i.e. received payment amount should be the same as initially transferred.

- Bank informs customers 60 calendar days in advance, when making amendments to General service rules, standard provisions of the service provision rules and price lists.
