OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2010. The Council of Ministers of Belarus by Decision No 276 added six more companies to a Privatisation plan list for 2010:

- Construction Enterprise №14 (located in Yalta, Ukraine)

- Belyuvelirtorg (retail jewellery chain)

- Belgosstrakh (the largest monopolist insurance company in the market)

- Gomel Production Association 'Crystal' (jewellery producer)

- Stravita (insurance company)

- BelVitunifarm (chemical and pharmaceutical producer)

In addition to these six companies, Belarus is following an IMF recommendation by preparing to offer 20 more companies for privatization with support of an international privatization consultant.

According to the State Property Committee, 133 companies in Belarus are planned for reorganization into open joint stock companies in 2010, whereas 169 companies were reorganized in 2009, including 108 companies which became open joint stock companies.
