OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2010. According to statistics of the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund (AMF) under the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the country’s mortgage loans totaled 18 manats per capita (with population of 9.13 million of persons) in February 2010.

A month earlier (following January 2010) size of mortgage crediting per capita was 17.4 manats.
For comparison: the indicator made 0.2 manats per capita in 2006 (population: 8.436 million people), 5.25 manats in 2007 (8.532 million people), 7.34 manats in 2008 (8.626 million people) and 17.05 manats in 2009 (8.922 million people).

As of 1st March 2010, mortgage loans for 162 million manats were granted in Azerbaijan. This February alone the figure reached 6 million manats.

By early March 2010, exchange rate was AZN 0.8034 to the US dollar.
