OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2010. According to preliminary data for 2009, the total amount of premiums collected by Ingosstrakh OJSIC in the Urals Federal District of the Russian Federation amounted to 1.3 bln rubles, 15.3% more than the same indicator for 2008.

The amount of premiums for voluntary insurance other than life insurance is 1.1 bln rubles (10.1% growth), including 263 mln rubles for personal insurance (12.8% growth), 846 mln rubles for property insurance (9.0% growth) and 19 mln rubles for voluntary liability insurance (25.6% growth). Insurance premiums collected for compulsory motor third party liability insurance (CMTPL) amounted to 207 mln rubles (55.3% growth).

Indemnity paid by Ingosstrakh OJSIC in the Urals Region for direct insurance in the 12 months of 2009 amounted to 1.0 bln rubles, including 271 mln rubles for voluntary personal insurance, 604 mln rubles for property insurance, and 1 mln rubles for voluntary liability insurance. CMPTL indemnity payments amounted to 147 mln rubles.

CMPTL insurance and voluntary liability insurance were the business segments with the most dynamic development in Ingosstrakh OJSIC’s branches in the Urals Federal District in 2009.

The region leader for the collected premiums is the Sverdlovsk Region, with 474 mln rubles; the Chelyabinsk Region is in second place with 453 mln rubles. Premiums paid in these regions amount to 350 mln rubles and 393 mln rubles respectively.
