OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2010. The Exhibition of manufacturers and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan was closed at the Exhibition Centre of Turkmenistan.

The annual forum organized with the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan showcased a wide range of products and services provided by the private sector of Turkmen economy the development of which was boosted nowadays. The growing dynamics of entrepreneurial activities in Turkmenistan is a result of the state policy aimed at encouraging private businesses in the country.

The large-scale expositions represented by the sectors included 16 main sections showcasing the achievement of agricultural processing, food, construction and textile industries and other promising sectors which were directed towards modernization of production processes and introduction of innovations that allowed enhancing the quality and competitiveness of commodities on domestic and foreign markets.

The economic forecast has proved to be right – the large-scale projects implemented by the private sector of the national economy in compliance with international standards have started producing the visible results. The poultry complex with the complete cycle Gush Toplumy that considerably contributes to saturating the domestic market with high-quality products at a reasonable price, the Hosh Zaman poultry factory producing egg is to be opened in the near future.

The remarkable achievements of the business initiatives presented at the Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat included the joint investment project aimed at establishing the Enar supermarket network that is the first one in Turkmenistan and Central Asia. The first commercial establishments selling food products and staple goods founded by the Ak Tam business partnership and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development were opened last year.

The major objectives of the forum of private producers of Turkmenistan include the demonstration of the achievements, potential and prospects for private sector development, exchange of experiences and establishment of business contacts. The results of these talks will be embodied in new projects, innovative products and new kinds of services. All this will considerably facilitate fulfilling the priority tasks of extending and modernizing production processes, increasing exports, substituting imports and offering job opportunities for local population set to the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
