As the press service of the Ministry of Economy has informed, "Moldova Agroindbank", "Energbank, Mobiasbanca - Groupe Societe Generale and Victoriabank" were selected for the refunding process. They assume the risks of credit and will fulfill the role of financial intermediaries in the development of the credit line to support and develop the activities of the private exporters. According to the Agreement on the additional funding of the World Bank Project "Improvement of Competitiveness", signed by the Moldovan government and the International Association for Development, Moldova has received preferential loans from the World Bank in the amount of USD 24 million, of which USD 22.5 million are aimed to support and develop the activities of the private exporters.

The recipients may be the economic agents, exporters, possessing not less than 75% of the private property, which receive incomes from the export activity, directly or through intermediaries and carry out activities at the territory of Moldova. The funding from the project "Improvement of competitiveness" must comply with the requirements of RM and WB in the field of environmental protection and acquisition of goods and services on the competitive basis. The loans are intended to finance ongoing or specific customer requirements related to export activities, in particular, for acquisition of technical equipment, raw materials and production materials, intermediate goods, fuel, energy, construction, etc.

Maximum loan amount is 1 million euros. The loans to finance investment subprojects must not exceed the equivalent of 800 thousand euros, with a delay of up to 8 years. The number of tranches will be also determined by the intermediary banks, taking into account the needs of the recipient and they can be received both in leis, euros or U.S. dollars. The amount of bail will be also discussed in private by those who took loans with the intermediary banks.
