OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2010. The Nizhny Novgorod branch office of Ingosstrakh OJSIC has signed 7 insurance contracts involving property of Mir LLC, to a total insurance amount of 48 mil rubles.

The total of the insured property included 1,024 heads of cattle to an insurance amount of 20 mil rubles, 27 units of agricultural and transportable equipment to an insurance amount of 19 mil rubles, as well as stationary equipment to an insurance amount of 9 mil rubles.

The cattle was insured against such risks as death or forced slaughter of animals as a result of the following events: fire, strokes of lighting, gas explosion, natural calamities, malicious acts by third parties, infectious, non-contagious and parasitic diseases, accidents, man-induced explosions, damage caused by water, as well as housebreaking and robbery.

Stationary equipment was insured against damage and/or destruction as a result of fire, strok of lightning, gas explosion, natural calamities, damage caused by water, explosion, housebreaking and robbery, malicious acts by third parties, damage to the insured property due to crush of piloted aircrafts or caused by their wreckage, accidents involving land transport Agricultural and transportable equipment was additionally insured against damage and/or destruction as a result of accidents and, in particular, traffic accident. The insured property was pledged by one of the state commercial banks under concluded credit agreements and credit line agreements.

Mir LLC was founded on the basis of the Mir Agricultural Production Co-operative Farm of Bogorodsky District, Nizhny Novgorod Region. It is one of the principal agricultural manufacturers in the region. Its products include cereals, field vegetables, beef and dairy. The company was among the first to become a participant in the “Development of Agro-Industrial Complex” high-priority national project.
