OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2010. Last year’s throughput of Astrakhan Sea Port CJSC, of SovFraht-SovMorTrans Group grew by 71% from 2008’s figures, to 371.300 tons of cargo, the Group press service said.
 
Of overall handled volumes the stevedore transshipped 193.500 tons of metal, timber – 94.000 tons, of pulp and paper products – 82.000 tons.

Revenues from sales for the reporting period reached 119 million rubles, or 204.9% year-over-year. The profit amounted to 18.6 million rubles.

The company’s positive results were due to its marketing policy, the expansion of long-term contractual relationships with consumers, as well as by the commissioning of new high-performance fixed assets.
