OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2010. Belarusian OJSC Lidskoe Pivo brewery, based in the Grodno Region, reported a 17% decrease in output to 614,000 decaliters in January-February 2010, a representative in the administration of the company told.

Beer offering in plastic bottles decreased to 15.4% to 499,000 decaliters, in glass bottles decreased 26% to 95,000 decaliters and in kegs fell to 8.3% to 20,000 decaliters.

Supplies to the domestic market edged down to 7.5% to 586,500 decaliters.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo exports amounted to 37,800 decaliters, up 83.5%.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj in early October increased its shareholding in the Belarusian brewery Lidskoe Pivo to 87.85% from 51%.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo accounted for 13.7% of the Belarusian beer output in January, down 1 percentage point on the year.

Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers. It operates in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
