OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2010. Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) has decided to cut the price for potassium chloride sold to Russian agricultural producers during the spring sowing season. Mindful of the need to support Russian agriculture, the company has set a ceiling price of 4.250 roubles per tonne of potassium chloride (FCA, exclusive of VAT and packaging) for this group of customers.

In December 2009, in compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement between the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (one of whose founding members is Uralkali) and the Agri-industrial Union of Russia, the company announced a new ceiling price for potash fertilizer sold to the Russian agricultural producers in the first half of 2010. The upper price limit was set at 4,550 roubles per tonne (FCA, exclusive of VAT and packaging). The new price will be 7% lower, remaining effective until July 1, 2010. The ceiling price for the products to be supplied to Russian agricultural producers in the second half of 2010 will be announced by Uralkali before May 15, 2010, in accordance with the agreement between the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers and the Agri-industrial Union of Russia.
