This was announced to the reporters in Brussels by the Prime Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat, noting that the second half of the funds will be allocated to the country in the form of loans, mainly concessional. "They will be allocated on favorable terms, on IMF conditions", - said Vladimir Filat. According to him, one third of the total amount of financial assistance to Moldova is intended to support the budget and the balance of payments. Speaking about the return of loans, the prime minister said that due to external assistance and implementation of the concrete projects in various areas, it will be possible to build a functional economy so loans will be repaid from the revenues from economic activity.

The key sectors in which projects will be implemented are: rehabilitation of roads, agriculture, potable water provision, energy, health, regional development, social assistance. It can be reminded that on March 24 in Brussels, the Prime Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat and European Union Commissioner for Expansion and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fьle signed a Program of Assistance to Moldova for 2011-2013. The document was signed following the meeting of the Advisory Group - Forum "Partnership for Moldova."

The European Union, international financial organizations and donors have committed to provide Moldova with 1,936 billion euros or USD 2,6 billion for implementing reforms within the frameworks of "Reviving Moldova". In particular it includes funding from IMF in the amount of USD 574 million, the European Commission - 273 million euros, USA- USD 262 million, Romania - 100 million euros. The rest of the funds Moldova will get from other European countries and donors, as well as through EU programs.
