OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2010. The S. M. Kirov Mine (a division of SUEK-Kuzbass) was the first among SUEK enterprises to mine one million tonnes of coal since the beginning of the year. The largest contribution was made by the team of stoping section № 2 (the manager is L. V. Lagutin, the foreman is A. V. Kolomensky). It has secured as many as 765,000 tonnes of coal.

High yield is provided by the reliable performance of the mine's sinking teams. Since the beginning of the year they've driven through about 4.3 km of mining roadway, which is the best result across the Company's mines. Teams led by Igor Ovdin and Viktor Titayev drove through over 900 m of the roadway each.

The staff of the enterprise was complimented by the General Director of OAO SUEK-Kuzbass Alexander Loginov: "This success was provided by the well-organized mining team of dedicated professionals and reinforced by the continuous introduction of modern technologies. You have reasserted the leading position of our enterprise in the Company, in Kuzbass and in the coal industry of the country."
