OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2010. The main event for numerous motor-car fans and automotive segment professionals – the Moscow Automobile Salon takes place August 25 through September 5, 2010 in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre.

The organizers of MosIAS’2010 are the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre and the Association of Russian Carmakers NP. The event is supported by the Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AMC) of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) in the Russian Federation, the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry for Transport of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The international status of the Moscow Autosalon has been acknowledged by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles / OICA as an “A” category motor show alongside with Geneva, Paris, London, Detroit and Frankfurt motor shows.

The beginning of 2010 showed positive growth dynamic of the European car market which has been “ascending” during the last eight months. According to January data car sale volumes in the Old World grew by 12,9% and comprised 1 million 58 thousand and 868 cars.

Automotive market of Russia is placed high on the list of targeted territories and ranked as one of the most dynamically developing automotive markets worldwide today in spite of economic crisis. Moreover increase in the segment is expected after European economic situation has improved.

It is the third edition of the Moscow International Automobile Salon in Crocus Expo IEC. The Salon will traditionally present world and European debuts in the segment of passenger car manufacture, leading automobile brands and novelties from national car industry. The overall exhibit area will comprise 63 000 sq m in 2010. 80 exhibitors will present their stands at the show. Representatives from 6 regions of the Russian Federation (Elabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhny Novgorod, St-Petersburg, Tolyatti and Ulyanovsk) and 12 countries (England, Germany, India, Italy, China, Korea, Russia, the USA, Taiwan, France, Czech Republic and Japan) will take part in MosIAS 2010.

The project first of all aims to demonstrate the results of the market segment leaders. The list of exhibitors will impress even the most sophisticated car fans. The largest global car manufactures will be accommodated in the third pavilion Crocus Expo IEC: Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Citroen, Chevrolet, Сhrysler, FIAT, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, KIA, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Skoda, Ssang Young, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo, VAZ, GAZ, UAZ, TAGAZ, Chery, Geely, Great Wall and BYD.

The exhibitors will be organized according to thematic location. Practice shows that such segmentation assists visitors to easier orientate themselves at the show and exhibitors get a better effect of their participation. The segmentation will be as follows: premium class cars (hall 15), general class cars (halls 13 and 14), and automotive components (hall 12).

Car debuts are traditionally the highlight both for visitors and professionals. Moscow is awaiting for a large number of world, European and Russian premieres!

The Moscow International Automobile Salon’2010 has developed to incorporate more than just an exhibition. A topical and saturated business program for specialists and diverse entertainment events runs during the Autosalon.

Quite a number of business events will be held within the frames of AutoSalon. Exhibitors’ press conferences will become the highlight of the calendar of events. The press conferences will be held August 25, 2010. The 3rd Professional Conference of Russian AutoDealers and conference initiated and organized by Vedomosti newspaper should be mentioned specially.

The International Automobile Exhibition InterAuto will be accommodated in the second pavilion and will feature the state-of-the-art components and latest technologies related to automotive components, accessories, car care products, chemicals, tuning, aerography, car audio and maintenance and repair equipment and tools.

InterAuto 2010 has also convenient for visitors segmentation: car electronic appliances, security and safety systems (hall 5), car care products, oils, lubricants, paints (hall 6), garage and service stations equipment, tires, disks (hall 7), automotive components, spare parts (halls 8, 9, 10 and 11).

Press Conference devoted to the opening of the Moscow International Automobile Salon and exhibition InterAuto will take place August 26, 2010 at 01:00 p.m. in the third pavilion Crocus Expo IEC. The Official Opening Ceremony of the expositions with participation of the highest ranking political and public persons will be held after the press conference at 02:00 p.m.

According to global practice the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2010 will be scheduled as follows:

August 25 and 26 – Press Days (only for mass media): 15-25 minutes presentations and press conferences at leading global car manufacture stands.

August 26 (from 12:00 p.m.) – Business Day (only for specialists, suppliers and wholesalers).

August 27 through September 5 – General Admission Public Days.

The organizers estimate that the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2010 will attract more than 1,6 million of visitors! Quite a number of international delegations with official visits are also expected at the show.

About 1300 journalists will provide wide press coverage of the event. More than 300 out of them will be foreign mass media representatives. Moscow AutoSalon is of special appeal as opposed to other worldwide motor shows due to the most wide range of global car market players presented: Russian, American, European, Japanese, Chinese and others.
