OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2010. OAO ARMADA (MICEX, RTS: ARMD) was ranked 25th among Russia’s top IT companies in general and 4th among software developers by the Dengi magazine (Kommersant Publishing House) for 2009. The annual ratings were published in the Dengi magazine on March 29, 2010, Issue No. 12 (767).

“Companies are ranked based on a dimensionless index characterizing business size. 90% of the index is based on revenue the company generated in 2009. The index also takes into account the total staff on payroll, the degree of customer base diversification and the development of a branch network,” said Igor Pichugin who is responsible for calculating the rating points.

“The efforts of ARMADA’s management will be aimed at ensuring 25—30 percent revenue growth a year, which will help the company win over a share of 3—5% of the IT market in the mid-term. To do so, the main condition is to maintain a high profit margin, keeping EBITDA higher than 12% of the revenue. This goal can be achieved with an increase in the market share in software development and IT services — high-margin segments, which accounted for 29% of the revenue each, and together generated 85% of the company’s consolidated EBITDA in 2009. ARMADA’s growth strategy relies on a combination of organic growth and new acquisitions. Our primary acquisition targets are leading players in niche markets boasting a considerable development potential,” Chairman of the Board of Directors of ARMADA explained.
