OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2010. DemirBank received “UGUR” prize in the area of economics and business in the nomination “Successful Rebranding”.

The prize was presented on “UGUR 2009” ceremony in Gulustan Palace. The prize in this nomination is the evidence of successful rebranding of the Bank.

The adoption of new name and logo, TV commercials on rebranding, winning campaign “Yubiley”, advertisements and PR campaigns, TV reports, magazine articles, preparation of advertising materials and other activities on rebranding played significant role in receiving the prize in this nomination.

The Bank’s website last year moved to a new address - www.demirbank.az. The design and content of the site were modified as a result of rebranding.

DemirBank continues working on “Brand strengthening program”. One of the elements of this work is the development of brand-book, and also implementation of new corporate style in branches. The results of the marketing research conducted among the Bank clients last year also demonstrated the success of rebranding.

It shall be also noted that DemirBank’s TV commercial on rebranding was recognized as the “Most popular commercial in Azerbaijan in 2009” as of the results of the poll conducted by “Azerbaijan Marketing Community MAK.AZ”.

One of the first banks in Azerbaijan DemirBank (former name Azerdemiryolbank) started its activity in 1989. The shareholders of Bank include large international financial institutions, such as European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO).
