OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2010. For the first time in the Russian aviation history, JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines has started carrying mail from France for the first time in the Russian aviation history. The services are provided by the company’s own regular flights.

Aero Cargo, an authorized agent of Russian Post, with Aeroflot’s assistance won the tender for postal transport to Moscow and several other CIS destinations held by the French Government.

Aeroflot daily performs four own flights on the Moscow – Paris – Moscow and two on the Moscow – Nice – Moscow routes.

If the results of the postal transportation from Paris satisfy France’s Postal Administration, the parties expect the collaboration to be expanded to include similar postal carriage services from Nice. The direct postal transport from France by Aeroflot’s regular flights will improve the quality of product throughout the supply chain.
