As noted director of Purchasing Department of State Corporation "Rosatom" Roman Zimonas in his opening speech, "the forum will promote improvement of efficiency of the purchasing activity of the State Corporation’s entities". According to him, introduction of the Unified purchasing standard will provide effective use of investment resources by Rosatom itself and all sectoral enterprises during construction of Leningrad NPP-2, Baltic NPP, and other objects of nuclear power sector of the region.

Deputy Director of Purchasing Department of State Corporation "Rosatom" Andrey Rakhmaninov at plenary meeting of the Forum told about the first results of purchasing activity in the framework of implementation of the Unified sectoral standard and marked fundamental approaches to arrangement of purchases in the State corporation. "The principles taken as foundation of purchases arrangement in Rosatom are integrated regulation and control of purchases, implementation of electronic bidding and forming of united information space", — noted he. According to him, by the middle of March of 2010, on web site http://zakupki.rosatom.ru/, more than 5800 purchasing procedures for the amount of more than 42 bln. rubles were placed. The total saving for the 5 months exceeded 1 bln. rubles. "By the present day 170 enterprises of the nuclear power sector customers function using standard of purchases of the State corporation", — resumed Andrey Rakhmaninov.

On the first day of work of the Forum, chairman of Central arbitration committee in the purchasing area of State corporation "Rosatom" Pavel Tikhomirov, director of programs of engineering activity projects management of State corporation "Rosatom" Dmitry Tveritinov, vice-president of CJSC "Atomstroyexport" Timur Bavlakov and director of Directorate of Leningrad NPP-2 under construction Oleg Lebedev also spoke with reports in the framework of the plenary meeting.

Administrators and profiled specialists of State corporation "Rosatom", JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", JSC "Sankt-Peterburgsky Atomenergoproject", JSC "Atomenergoproject" (Moscow), JSC "NUAEP", JSC "Atomstroyexport", FSUE "Atomflot", representatives of functioning NPPs and other companies of the sector participate in the suppliers forum. Besides the sectoral companies, representatives of 200 enterprises-suppliers that provide the nuclear power sector with goods and services became participants of the forum.
