OREANDA-NEWS. April 08, 2010. Freight One has opened an office in the city of Blagoveshchensk, the administrative center of Amur Region, allowing the company to provide operating and forwarding services to freight owners.

Blagoveshchensk is a key station on the Trans-Baikal Railway, through which most of the export freight from Amur Region (soybeans, soybean oil, coal and mineral fertilizers) is hauled. In addition, 140 kilometers from Blagoveshchensk is the Svobodnensk Car Repair Plant, one of the companies where Freight One cars are repaired.

Freight One works with major manufacturers based in Amur Region, including Russky Ugol (Russian Coal), which operates 6 collieries, 8 shafts and 3 processing plants, from which Freight One loads about 1800 cars of coal to Yekaterinoslavka Station. Freight One also works closely with Amuragrotsentr LLC, which processes grains and legumes in the Far East of Russia.

Freight One’s office in Blagoveshchensk isn’t the only one in Amur Region; the company opened an office in Belogorsk in 2009. Freight One’s Irkutsk branch has 15 offices on the Transbaikalia and East-Siberian railways.
